Lloyd Park Children’s Centre

OR Consulting Engineers acted as the environmental engineers for a new outdoor play area and pavilion building at the Lloyd Park Children’s Centre.

The Pavilion building was designed to house semi-external visitor facilities and heated communal and administrative spaces. As a consequence, the thermal envelope of the building was developed to reflect this zoning and achieve a more efficient and economic building construction.

The project was undertaken as part of a larger master plan development.  To minimise costs, systems were designed to work within the constraints of the existing utilities installations. As part of the project a water accumulator was installed to overcome large fluctuations in the water pressure supplied to the site.
