Hambledon Vineyard

OR Consulting were appointed as building services and acoustic engineers in collaboration with Mowat & Company Ltd on the expansion of Hambledon Vineyard Estate, the UK’s oldest vineyard. The new two-story green oak barn houses a restaurant, kitchen, shop and educational facilities at the heart of the South Downs National Park.

Our focus was designing efficient, sustainable, and the reuse of existing MEP systems to support both the operational needs of the centre and the comfort of its visitors. From use of the site biomass systems to carefully integrated lighting and plumbing, every detail was coordinated to complement the space and its surroundings.
