OR Consulting partnered with The London Borough of Lewisham on the £500K refurbishment of Stillness Primary School, delivering a range of new facilities, including a kitchen, multi-use hall, library, and classrooms. This low-carbon project focuses on optimising both energy efficiency and acoustic performance to enhance the learning experience for all students.

This project not only provides a modern, flexible learning environment but also demonstrates how sustainable design solutions can be integrated into complex and acoustically sensitive spaces, ensuring the school’s facilities are both functional and comfortable for all.

Key features of the design include:

Introducing bespoke passive acoustic vents to naturally ventilate the landlocked multi-use hall, while maintaining optimal acoustic performance in the perimeter classrooms and the new multi-level library.
Creating a state-of-the-art kitchen capable of producing 500 covers, with a tailored services solution to meet this demanding requirement while navigating a challenging acoustic environment.
