Sky Backstage at The O2 Arena

OR Consulting acted as the building services consultants on the Sky Backstage project at the O2 Arena. The Sky Backstage is a bar and interactive play area overlooking the main stage at The O2 Arena and is for the exclusive use of Sky customers and VIPs before and after performances.

OR Consulting designed the systems serving the Backstage Bar to maintain comfortable conditions, regardless of the temperatures required within the wider Arena for productions. The electrical design successfully integrated the complex requirements of the AV and lighting installations with the breathtaking interior design. Complex building control, DDA and fire safety issues were addressed and integrated into the design, in conjunction with stringent acoustic and black out requirements.
