We engineered the environmental and integration challenges to create a new venue for 500 people within the heart of the O2 without affecting the daily operation of the arena.
OR Consulting were employed as building services and lighting designers for the refurbishment of the Fabric Night Club at the O2 to create a unique theatre housing a 500 seat Greek taverna.
The theatre accommodates technical, artistic and catering facilities for guests and performers, to create a world class theatrical dining experience. The environmental systems were integrated with the architecture and staging of the taverna to create an invisible engineered solution that met the high acoustic standards of a live performance theatre.
By re-using and adapting the existing building’s fabric and plant, the embodied carbon of the project was reduced to a fraction of the previous schemes considered by the Client.
