HCPC Masterplan

OR Consulting Engineers led the environmental design masterplan for the bold, low-carbon redevelopment of the Health Care Professionals Council’s facilities, creating a smarter, greener, and more comfortable workspaces in the heart of London.

At the core of the transformation, strategically placed light wells flood the lower floors with natural daylight, dissolving the usual constraints of deep-plan buildings and reducing reliance on artificial lighting. Carefully designed natural ventilation strategies harness sheltered facades, allowing fresh air to circulate effortlessly, even in an acoustically challenging urban environment.

Pushing the boundaries of efficiency, the buildings integrate air source heat pumps, heat recovery ventilation, and intelligent lighting controls, cutting carbon emissions by over 50%.
