OR Consulting — Wolverhampton Civic Hall Project

OR Consulting Engineers acted as low carbon building services engineers and lighting designers for the fit-out of a Grade II listed building with the capacity for 5000 guests across two venues with new bar, catering and cellar areas.

In collaboration with AEG Presents, OR Consulting has provided multi-disciplinary design services for:

  • The refurbishment of the existing listed building to increase the hospitality capacity to 5,500 visitors across two halls.
  • The design of MEP, lighting, and acoustic services to enable banquet catering facilities within historically sensitive spaces.
  • Future-proofing the venue to provide modern specifications while preserving the building's heritage.
  • Improving the internal acoustic environment of bars to optimise performance during concerts.
  • Coordinating closely with the Architect and Heritage Officer to minimise impact on the listed building fabric while creating new spaces, including conferencing areas, venue management facilities, and artist spaces.
