The Lillie Road Project involved a feasibility study to achieve planning permission for the refurbishment and extension of a Victorian Warehouse building to a mixed use Office and Residential development.
OR Consulting Engineers undertook a feasibility design to secure planning approval. The study included:
- Working with the architects to optimize the passive performance of the building fabric to create a scheme to satisfy planning controls.
- Optimising opportunities for natural ventilation and passive cooling.
- Optimising day-lighting.
- Assessing the feasibility of active technologies and their suitability for the scheme and its target market.
- Utilizing low carbon technologies to achieve the carbon performance required for planning permission.
- Testing the development’s low carbon performance by employing the National Calculation Method.
